Hi. I hear a lot about the praise for ELMAH, however, I'm on my 2nd day making it work.

I finally achieved getting ELMAH.axd to run, albeit with two, I guess default errors. After that, I'm not seeing any other logs. I tried to rename a document with an '&' in it because SP doesn't like that. I got the standard red warning text about acceptable characters, but nothing posted to my log.

What I'm essentially trying to do is use ELMAH to trap an error when I utilize a data connection file to access a remote SQL server database from my SharePoint app. Because it's in .Net and it's a remote DB I'm experienceing the Double-Hop issue.

So I found ELMAH. Set that up and have a second DLL from code based on a Michel Tol blog (http://net.micheltol.nl/net/post/Error-Logging-Modules-and-Handlers-for-ASPNET-%28elmah%29.aspx) that uses ELMAH trapped errors to turn on runwithenhancepermissions(deleagte), giving that user account App Poll credentials and thereby allowing the connection. Phew!

But if I can't even make on little error show up, is it all worth it?

If you'd like a tool for managing your time and projects, you can also use this application inspired by David Allen's GTD:

http://www.Gtdagenda.com

You can use it to manage and prioritize your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
